Send files to your phone
Copy files into a writable data folder from a computer or WebDAV client.
You can receive files without manually accepting each transfer, as long as the server remains running and the sender can reach it.
Prepare a destination
- Choose a writable local data folder, for example a dedicated Inbox folder.
- Start its server on Home and give the sender the address and, if needed, the WebDAV login.
- Ask the sender to connect with a computer file manager or a WebDAV client that supports uploading.
- The sender opens the destination folder and copies or uploads the files there.
- Check the resulting files in Zwind’s Browser or in the original Files folder.
Use a real subfolder rather than the top-level list of data folders. Files provider permissions, available space, and storage rules can prevent writes. Begin with a small test file. Zwind’s browser-based directory listing is for browsing and downloading; it is not an upload form.
Know the destination
Uploading to local storage puts the file in that local folder. Uploading to a connected storage folder writes to that provider instead, when its adapter and permissions allow it. Virtual or projected media folders may be read-only. See Connected storage before receiving files into a remote folder.
Choose unique names to avoid accidental replacement. A client may overwrite a file with the same name; this is not a moderated submission inbox with per-sender accounts or approval queues.
