What can I do with this address?
Turn your phone into a shared file space for computers, browsers, players, friends, and Zwind TV.
After starting a server, enter its address on another device to access the folders it provides. Files may be stored on your phone, in a folder accessible through Files, or in a storage service connected to Zwind. The folder you open determines which storage you are accessing. A Data Folder is a folder you add to a local server in Zwind.
Choose a task
- Manage files from a computer: connect in Windows File Explorer, macOS Finder, or a Linux file manager.
- Open files in a browser: browse and download without installing a client.
- Use a player or WebDAV client: play media, browse photos, or connect a backup tool.
- Share phone files or send files to your phone.
- Access or write to connected storage.
- Share with friends or a roomful of people, or collect files from many people.
- Pair with Zwind TV.
- Fix a connection problem.
Before connecting
- Select the server you want on Home and start it.
- Copy or enter the server address, including
http://and the port. - Connect the other device to a network that can reach the phone, usually the same Wi-Fi.
- If anonymous access is off, use that server’s WebDAV username and password.
The address is a network address, not an uploaded copy of your files. Keep the server running and the phone reachable for as long as people need access. Zwind supports running the server in the background, so you can switch apps or lock the screen. Keep the phone charged and connected to the network, and do not force quit Zwind. A changing Wi-Fi address requires a new link.
