Overview

Zwind builds personal content tools that are designed around user control, local-first workflows, and optional online features. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Zwind apps, tools, websites, support channels, promotions, and related services.

The Zwind product family includes Zwind WebDAV, Zwind TV, Zwind Scrapbook, ZWMP and related project sites, documentation, landing pages, and promotion pages.

Covered Products

This policy applies to the following products and surfaces:

  • Zwind WebDAV, including its local server, browser, player, mapped sources, resolver features, and resource projection workflows.
  • Zwind TV, including Apple TV browsing, playback, local network discovery, WebDAV server entries, pairing, and playback state.
  • Zwind Scrapbook, including Photos access, screenshot import, grouping, OCR, journals, search, sharing, export, and optional online features.
  • ZWMP and Zwind websites, including documentation, landing pages, promotion pages, and support or contact flows.

Information We Process

Depending on the product and features you use, Zwind may process account, purchase, subscription, entitlement, usage, device, diagnostic, and support information. Zwind may also process product settings such as server names, paths, bookmarks, credentials or tokens you provide, pairing data, playback state, resolver settings, journal content, recognized text, metadata, requests and responses, export state, and sharing preferences.

Zwind apps may process files, folders, media, local network addresses, WebDAV endpoints, SMB shares, feeds, web pages, cloud-style file locations, Photos library items you select or permit the app to scan, screenshots, recognized text, journal entries, share pages, and exported archives. The exact information depends on the permissions you grant, sources you configure, and features you choose to use.

Zwind websites and online pages may process ordinary technical information such as request logs, browser and device data, referral information, analytics or measurement events, promotion and redemption requests, form submissions, and messages you send to Zwind.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Zwind products; operate app features you request; remember your settings; manage purchases and subscriptions; respond to support requests; prevent abuse; measure website and promotion performance; and comply with legal, platform, tax, accounting, and security obligations.

When you use online features, Zwind may use selected content, recognized text, metadata, account or purchase state, usage state, diagnostics, and related requests and responses to provide the feature, maintain reliability, enforce limits, and improve safety and quality.

Local and Device Data

Many Zwind workflows are local to your device or local network. Zwind WebDAV can expose selected local files, folders, mapped file locations, network sources, feeds, and projected resources through a server you configure. Zwind TV can browse and play content from local network or WebDAV sources and may keep server entries, pairing state, and playback progress on the device. Zwind Scrapbook can scan or import screenshots from Photos with your permission, recognize text, organize related captures, create journal entries, search saved content, share selected pages, and export archives.

Local files, media, screenshots, recognized text, journals, playback history, server settings, and app configuration generally remain under your control on your device unless you choose a feature that sends information outside the device, connect another client to a server you start, open content in another app, share or export content, configure an external source, or use an online feature.

Network Sources and External Content

If you connect WebDAV servers, SMB shares, feeds, web pages, cloud-style locations, local network devices, or other external sources, Zwind processes the information needed to access, browse, search, resolve, display, and play that content. Requests to those sources are governed by the settings you provide and by the policies of the services, websites, devices, or networks you connect.

When you start a local server, pair devices, or allow another client to access a Zwind endpoint, information may be made available to devices or apps that can reach the server according to the access controls and network environment you choose.

Online Features and Service Providers

Some Zwind features may rely on online infrastructure or service providers for hosting, purchase validation, entitlement management, analytics, diagnostics, abuse prevention, communications, content processing, sharing, storage, or other operational needs. These providers may process information on Zwind's behalf or under their own terms, depending on the service and your interaction with it.

Optional online processing features may send selected content, recognized text, metadata, prompts, requests, responses, account or purchase state, usage state, and diagnostics as needed to provide the feature, enforce limits, improve reliability, and protect the service. You should use these features only with content you are comfortable processing online.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases, subscriptions, refunds, trials, billing, and family sharing are handled through the app marketplace or payment channel you use. Zwind may receive and process purchase status, subscription status, entitlement state, transaction identifiers, offer or promotion state, storefront or region information, and related diagnostics so that paid features can be enabled, restored, supported, and protected against abuse.

Sharing and Exports

When you share, export, publish, open in another app, or send content through system share sheets or external tools, the selected files, media, journal content, images, text, metadata, or archives may be handled by the destination you choose. Those destinations are not controlled by Zwind.

Retention and Control

Local app data is kept as long as it remains in the app, on your device, in your selected files, or in sources you connect. You can remove servers, credentials, bookmarks, paired devices, imported items, journals, exports, share pages, resolver rules, marker files, and other local records using available app controls, device settings, file management tools, or by uninstalling the app.

Online records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation, security, abuse prevention, support, accounting, legal compliance, and backup integrity. You may contact Zwind to request access, correction, deletion, or other help with information associated with you, subject to applicable law, technical limits, and records Zwind must retain.
